The centre painted with a star-shaped medallion depicting a bird perched on rockwork beside flowering peony, surrounded by moulded fan-shaped panels enclosing alternately flowering peach and Symbols between jewels (some rim frittings)
29.4 cm. diam.
Provenance
Recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East Indiaman 'Witte Leeuw', sunk off the Island of St. Helena in 1613.
