Two blue and white oviform jars and one cover

A blue and white powder-blue jar and cover painted with three lobed panels, two painted with ferocious qilins and one with a winged beast, all on a powder-blue ground (cover repaired); and an oviform jar decorated with three quatrefoil panels of Hehe Erxian reserved on a scale-pattern and lotus ground, divided by two vertically positioned lotus stems (inner rim frits)

Lot Essay

Bearing a paper label inscribed '...Lawn Tennis Club by His Excellency Lew Yuk Lin, (Chinese Ambassador to the Court of St. James's) for the Ladies Double Championship and won by Mrs P.B. Argall & Miss M.J. Marsh 22nd July 1911.'
