A five-piece garniture, from the collection of the Rijksmuseum, of almost identical vases is illustrated by Jrg & Van Campen, Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Catalogue, 1997, p. 179, no. 200, where the authors state that the decoration derives from Japanese Imari ceramics, from which elements have been used and adapted to Chinese taste.
