Porcelain Chinese, Dehua Ware, Qing Dynasty (Circa 1700), Enamels European, Possibly English (18th-19th Century)
Circular, moulded with an extended, pierced handle and decorated in polychrome enamels over clear glaze with a Kakiemon-style design of a flying phoenix, bamboo, flowering plum and banded hedges, the handle painted turquoise, the cover decorated en suite and the knop moulded in the form of a seated Chinese lion painted turquoise to match the scalloped border, interior covered by clear glaze, flat foot rim and inner rims unglazed, kiln grit on foot rim
