A Bronze Incense Burner (Koro)
Meiji Period (Late 19th Century), Cast Signature Seifusai Chu and with Kao
Standing on three dragon-tongue supports resting on a plinth cast with florets and a band of keyfrets around the edge with a coiled dragon in low relief in the top center, the basin cast with a flying phoenix in high relief and with two handles formed as paulownia branches which extend to the opposite side, all on a diaper and cloud ground, the cover cast with florets and a band of keyfrets around the edge, a diaper ground and a finial in the form of a mythical beast
