The poet on a journey to Japan where he meets the Japanese god of poetry, Sumiyoshi, who is disguised as a fisherman; Po Ju-i then offers a couplet in response to Sumiyoshi's verse; signed Zen Hokusai Iitsu hitsu, published by Moriya Jihei, kiwame censor's seal--fine impression, slightly faded, restored holes, faint horizontal center fold, slight mat stain along edges
