Koryo Dynasty (First Half 12th Century)
Circular, with rim molded in six petal lobes and set on a small and short circular foot, impressed in the interior in remarkably clear detail with scrolling hollyhocks, four large blossoms evenly spaced and placed on opposite sides, oval-shaped buds with pointed tips and slender leaves with serrated edges on slender stems, the cavetto impressed with a radiating flower whorl, also incised below the rim on the interior with a narrow line to demarcate the foliage below; applied with a bluish-green celadon glaze with emerald blushes and pooling, especially crystalline in the well, some small, dense craquelure and allover lustre, three spur marks on shallow, recessed base
