Without title or text as issued. 12 fine hand-coloured lithographic plates after Redout by Pointel du Portail, A. Prevost and Mme. Leprince, printed by Villain, each plate with "C.S. [chroth]" blindstamp at foot. Contemporary half purple morocco, titled "Fleurs de Redout" in gilt on spine. Contained in a modern cloth box.

A FINE AND APPARANTLY UNRECORDED SERIES OF FLORAL BOUQUETS: Great Flower Books mentions what appears to be a 4to uncoloured version but does not mention a folio issue, Hunt Redoutana 47 records a 4to coloured issue. The Bibliotheque Nationale Paris has a set as part of a composite album of Redout prints. One of the last publications to appear during Redout's lifetime, these spectacular large bouquets are typical of Redout's mature style. The twelve plates of flowers and foliage, each depicting a number of examples from one genera, are entitled: Lis No. 1 [Lilies]; Roses Trmires No. 2 [Hollyhocks]; Dalhias No. 3 [Dahlias]; Oeillets No. 4 [Carnations]; Camlias No. 5 [Camelias]; Marguerites No. 6 [Chrysanthemums]; Camelias No. 7 [Camelias]; Tulipes No. 8 [Tulips]; Roses Varies No. 9 [Roses]; Iris No. 10 [Irises]; Pivoine No. 11 [Peonies] and Roses cent feuilles No. 12 [Roses].
