Air Mail cover 1927 (15 Nov.) attempted flight by Hinkler and McIntosh from Uphaven to India, specially printed envelope (275x125mm., slightly truncated and other faults) to Calcutta which crashed into swamps between Podhajce and Lwow in Poland, bearing 1z. and 10gr. (2) cancelled with Lwow c.d.s. and posted from the British Consulate in Lwow with cachet (heavily assisted) at left, Port Said transit c.d.s. on reverse; one of only twelve items carried and one of only four or five believed to exist.
