Lot 458 slightly bin-soiled label, numbered 7157. Excellent level, 4cms below base of cork. Original Domaine wax capsule, the remains of the top part only, exposing the upper surface of the cork. (Slight signs of superficial worming). Lot 459 excellent labels. Levels around 3cms. below base of corks. In DRC wooden case
A giant of a vintage and, for me, the end of an era. Perfect blossoming, giving promise of an early and abundant harvest.
Tasting note: First noted at the opening Lebgue tasting in 1964: amazingly rich and concentrated. Still totally unready in 1979. Must see how its progressing in 1999! M.B.(GVWBII)
