A magnificent vintage picked in great heat. the most beautifully balanced of all the great pre-phylloxera vintages. Lafite said to be the most perfect, not only of the vintage, but of all time.
Tasting note: Deep, intense; a rich, plummy, malty nose, speedily revealing sweetnes, vanilla, then, after fifteen minutes, a warm, raisiny bouquet. On the palate, slightly chocolatey, with high extract, tannin and acidity. M.B. (GVWBII)
