Of four sections, the first with Cupid as a young cherub draped in purple holding a compote for two billing doves, a wreath raised in his right hand, the second with him at Venus's knee handing her rose blossoms, the third as a youth with a bow in his hand taking advise from the seated Venus and lastly modelled standing beside a marble column, on grassy oval base, the sides moulded and gilt with interlaced circles and leaf tips--21in (53.3cm.) wide
