The shaped upper section with domed top centred by a foliate crest above a clock with enamel dial signed F. Ardavani, with twin-train movement, flanked by a pair of drawers, above a recess, the rounded sides each mounted with a twin-branch foliate candelabrum, above a further drawer and a small cupboard door, the serpentine-shaped lower section inset with a black leather writing surface, above a shaped frieze with three drawers, with rounded sides, on shaped square tapering legs headed by acanthus clasps, on foliate sabots, bearing the inscription F. Linke to the upper section right-hand mount
