The circular top inset to the centre with a turquoise-ground dish painted with a battle scene, the foliate-chased border inset with a further eighteen oval porcelain plaques, seventeen with the portrait of a Louis XVI court beauty, the last with the Royal monogram, on an ormolu base, with central baluster stem and foliate scrolling supports, on shaped base and foliate-cast feet
