Lot Essay

Ruytenschildt was a pupil of J. Andriessen and P. Barbiers Pzn. II. His style is close to that of A.J. Eymer and his master C. Steffelaar, who both also worked near Bentheim; (2) could have been drawn during Ruytenschildt's journey there
