A Victorian flagon
of baluster form with a large ivory insulated scroll handle, a grotesque mask spout and a domed cover, the whole embossed with flowers and scrolls, and a cartouche inscribed "This claret jug was presented by T.R.Bridson Esq, to the Ridgeway Coursing Club, he being an honourary member and was won by Mr Alderman Cunningham's dog Ben Lomond together with 133 pounds subject to the usual deductions in a 38 dog stake at Lytham, Feb 4th 1859", by Martin Hall & Co, Sheffield 1858, (minor holes) - 29.5cm high, 45oz.
