A large Mason's ironstone pitcher
of lobed cylindrical form, with a reeded handle and grip formed as a mythical beast mask, printed and painted with Oriental figures in exteriors and shaped cartouches, on an iron-red Y-pattern ground, below diaper pattern panels, demi flowerheads, leaves and insects, printed crown and impressed marks, circa 1830 (faint star crack to the interior, minor chip and rubbing) -- 30cm. high
