made for the Turkish market, with a gilt-metal-mounted cable handle and leaf moulded spout, painted with loose sprays of flowers within gilt roundels below blue and white chequer pattern borders reserved with panels of flowers, blue crossed swords mark, early 19th century (minor rim chips to cover and spout, some rubbing to gilding) -- 16cm. high
