Rangers won the Division 1 Championship this season with 52 points, Aberdeen being runners-up on 48 points.

Willaim Reid joined Morton in 1903 from his local side Ballieston Thistle. After periods with Third Lanark, Motherwell and Portsmouth, he joined Rangers in 1909. With the Ibrox side he won three Championship medals in seasons 1910-11 to 1912-13 and was on the losing side in the Scottish Cup final, season 1908-09. Between 1911-14 he played nine times for the full Scotland International side and also made ten appearances for the Scottish League.
