A silver star-shaped brooch engraved at the centre with a pattern incorporating a central star motif and the words Ring O Records -- 1in. (4.5cm.) diam.; accompanied by a note from the vendor stating that he acquired the brooch from Ringo Starr's personal assistant in the late 1970s

Ringo Record pins were made to promote Ring O Records, Starr's own label set up in 1977. According to our research, they were only given to management and artists on the label. Apparently only 200 silver brooches were made and 6 gold ones. We believe this to be the first example to be offered on the market through auction. According to the vendor, Ringo and his wife Barbara had gold examples of these pins and Starr was wearing his when he had a crash in his Mercedes ...a piece of damaged windscreen was inserted into Ringos star and he wore it constantly during the late seventies and early eighties...
