A pair of Komai iron and gilt-bronze slender baluster vases
decorated in gilt nunomezogan with shaped cartouches of figures in boats, huts on riverbanks, a watermill, pine and foliage in mountainous river landscapes, one below Mount Fuji, on grounds of gourd-shaped panels with butterflies and geometric designs, the lower halves decorated in hirazogan and takazogan with birds and insects among flowering branches -- 12.in (30.5cm) high, signed, 19th Century, (old wear).
