A Grodnerthal painted wooden doll
with carved and guilded comb, painted grey curls around the temples, brown eyes and red slippers, wearing contemporary red and white printed cotton tiered frock, circa 1830's - 13in. (33cm.) high (paint flaking on head); and a china shoulder-head with pale blue eyes, blonde hair swepet back at the sides and arranged in a loose knot at the nape with flowers and an American stuffed body wearing flower printed apron and red shoes - 16in. (41cm.) high (shoulder head damaged and restored)
