Each upholstered in close-nailed green leather, the rectangular back with turned finials, the toprail centred with a tablet carved with the entwined initials E. G., with a rail of bobbin-turned uprights below, on ring-turned legs joined by conforming stretchers, with ceramic castors, each stamped Gillow, twice, each stamped with various five figure numbers, the seatrails variously inscribed in pencil Hogan, Walker, May, Wibich and Jafray? and Blackley and two inscribed in chalk Bond, the castors stamped Copes Patent (22)
