with a reeded swing handle, a plain convex moulding below the rim and twin hinged covers with a flush hinge and two interior compartments, initialled and crested and later inscribed "from Catherine Edwards to Sophie Mary Hall, died 19 Nov 1858", by John Emes, 1806, (the handle a Victorian replacement by Henry Holland) - 16.5cm long, 18.75oz.
