The sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior with pigeon holes and various drawers about a central compartment with pull-out interior fitted with secret comparments to the back, enclosed by a rosewood crossbanded and chequer-inlaid door, inset with a later leather-lined panel, containing four long drawers applied with contemporary brass handles, on fret bracket feet, fall with damage to the edge

Lot Essay

This bureau is applied with brass C-scroll handles with similarities to those used by Thomas Chippendale on his furniture.
