In yellow and red, heightened with gilt decoration, the king seated under a temple shaped canopy with two attendant figures, the queen also under a temple canopy, the bishops on camels, the knights on horseback, the rooks as elephants with riders, the pawns as foot soldiers armed either with a rifle or shield and dagger
