The one piece case with sliding front glass, wooden block to the base, engine-turned gilt dial with plain Roman chapter ring, panel below signed PAUL GARNIER H.GER DU ROI PARIS (rubbed), blued steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with replacement (possibly contemporary) lever escapement, strike on bell to the backplate with repeat stamp -- 5in. (12.5cm.) high
