A French gilt and part silvered brass striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm, full calendar and moonphase, last quarter 19th century
The anglaise riche case with Corinthian columns and ripple mouldings, on stepped base, with florally engraved mask to the silvered Roman chapter ring, with aperture to the plain centre for painted rolling moon, conforming rings below for day/alarm/date, blued steel fleur-de-lys and lozenge hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate with silvered and frosted finish, with moon adjustment lever to underside of the base -- 6in. (17cm.) high
