The foliate swag hung case surmounted by the seated figure of a girl emblematic of the Sciences, the white enamel Roman dial with outside five minutes (two small chips to left winding hole), pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell -- 18in. (47cm.) high; a mahogany striking mantel clock, with arched case, the off white dial (hairline cracks) with visible Brocot escapement to the recessed centre, early 20th century -- 12in.
