The waisted case with conforming pediment, with glazed cartouche side panels above conforming moulded panels, with scroll mouldings to the base and glazed panel to the front door, the dial with pewter Roman chapter ring with Arabic five minutes (cracks), repouss folliate centre, cut steel hands, the twin barrel movement with tapering pillars, verge escapement and silk suspension, strike on bell to top and pull trip repeat, signed IOHAN SCHMIT TRER on the backplate -- 18in. (46cm.) high
