A Napoleon III gilt-bronze and Svres style porcelain mounted striking mantel clock, third quarter 19th century
The arched case with framed painted porcelain portrait cresting with floral finial and trailing floral garlands, inset with porcelain panels to front and sides painted with female portraits and flowers, on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes, with pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped on the backplate OPPENHEIM LONDRES-PARIS -- 19in. (50cm.) high; with giltwood plinth and ebonised base, under glass dome (cracked)
