The hood with swan-neck pediment, glazed tracery side panels with outset bulbous square section columns, with arched and bowed trunk door, on plinth with recessed panel, the 13in. wide arched white dial with painted spandrels depicting cottages and ducks, with a country lass beside a pool to the arch, the centre with subsidiary seconds ring, date aperture and refreshed signature Wm. Coombs Saintfield, broken brass hour hand, with falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, built up cheekboards; possibly associated, backboard lacking -- 88in. (225cm.) high
