The hood with dentil mouldings to the broken arch pediment, breakarch glazed side panels and fluted outset columns, with fluted pilasters flanking the arched trunk door concave chamfered angles to the plinth, the 13in. one piece arched brass dial with engraved spandrels, centre and arch, the latter also with spurious signature Allan How, with date aperture, minute hand lacking, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; composite, case last quarter 18th century, dial 20th century, movement 19th century -- 83in. (213cm.) high
