The hood mounted with a lunette top (parts missing), carved with a winged angel mask to the cornice and with volutes to the angles, the trunk door carved in relief with foliate scrolls, on stepped plinth, with fretwork panels to the backboard, the silvered rectangular dial engraved with foliate scrolls, with chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster rings above the chapter ring and seconds ring to the centre, retail signature on a reserve for MAPLE & CO LTD LONDON, the substantial movement with anchor escapement, hour strike on one large gong and quarter-chiming on eight small gongs -- 102in.
