"Lydia Azout's sculpture is calculated and precise. The physical laws, equilibrium and weight guide her sober and powerful designs. The geometry that seems to sustain her approach, materialised through the use of oxidised metal, offers a first reading which could refer to an apparent minimalism. But when the repetitive shapes and different solutions to enclose tension and volume are examined, the symbolism trapped in these peculiar constructions becomes evident."
