"[Suarez's] works have been based on images from art history, historical fact, cultural situations, subtle commentaries, etc. In his drawings, engravings and illustrations there has circulated - through his incisive humoristic stance - a complete collection of situations that allow him to trace the historical scenario that defines the particularity of his existence. His references are notebooks, newspapers and drawings of the type that we all made at one time in a school notebook. In this way, his work tries to resolve the dependence on the author's subjective point of view and enables any viewer willing to build on the possible relationships of the senses that surround us in our daily life."
