This innovative device was designed to overcome one of the more hazardous parts of photography - loading a film on to a spiral prior to immersing it in the processing chemicals. This device was invented by Ivor Dean sometime during 1974 and was scheduled to be shown on the BBC's Tomorrow's World. Patents were taken out or applied for in the UK, USA, Japan and Germany and it was manufactured in the UK by Moore Brothers and Co. of Derby.
