A CORINTHIAN POTTERY ARYBALLOS

The spherical body decorated with central swan flanked on either side by a griffin, rays around the shoulder and bands around the everted rim, on flattened base, repaired, 4 in. (11.4 cm.) high; a similar aryballos, smaller, with an encircling band of dotted decoration around the centre, 2.5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high; another miniature aryballos, the body tapering towards pad foot, decorated with encircling bands and rays, repaired, 3.3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) high; a kylix with flaring rim, decorated with a band of two swans and central rosette on either side, twin handles, repaired, 3.1/8 in. (8 cm.) high; a squat oinochoe, the broad body on flat base, with short neck, and trefoil-lipped rim, single strap handle, decoration worn, repaired, 4 in. (10.8 cm.) high; a hydria with remains of dotted decoration around the rim, 4 in. (11.5 cm.) high; and a skyphos, repaired, 2 in. (7 cm.) high, all 6th Century B.C. (7)
