Depicting Pope Leo XIII with cardinals Rampolla, Parochi, Bonaparte and Sacconi in the Vatican gardens with Swiss guards in attendance, the Castel Saint Angelo in the distance, signed to the lower right corner B.Barzotti R.F.S.P., the giltwood frame stamped twice P.LAURETI ROMA, with paper label and stamp to the reverse FABBRICA DEI MUSAICI IN VATICANO
The panel -- 6 x 11in. (15.2 x 28cm.), overall -- 12 x 16in. (30.5 x 42cm.)
