COMPLETE SET of one of the finest French publications of the late 19th century on hunting and fishing. Two volumes were published each year, commencing in May and finishing in April, with 12 plates per volume or 24 per year. Thibaud cites an additional three volumes that, according to Souhart, were published but these are volumes that Thibaud himself had not seen, and that are not recorded in any French public library. The Mercier Catalogue states that "Ce journal est certainement l'une des plus jolies publications faites en ce genres et srement l'une des plus artistiques", echoing Thibaud 932 who calls it: "Une des plus belles publications faites en ce genre: papier, typographie, rdaction, illustration, tout tait de choix"; Petit 2113.
