Small 4, wood-engraved Aldine device used by William Pickering on recto of first and verso of last leaf, wood-engraved frontispiece, wood-engraved vignettes of fish and decorative initials, each page with red typographical border, original green cloth, spine titled in gilt. Provenance: Basil M. Pickering June 25 1846 (ownership inscription on first leaf).
PRIVATELY PRINTED AND VERY SCARCE. Although the ownership inscription is Hugh Pickering's, it is William Pickering (1796-1854) who is included on the list of 33 Club members, and who was also on the committee appointed to revise the rules and regulations of the Club.
