The Madonna and Child

The present lot is close in style to the Master of the Parrot, whose oeuvre is thought to be by different hands working in the same studio. This studio's style has affinity with the Master of the Female Half Lengths, as was recognised by M.J. Friedlnder in Early Netherlandish Painting, 1975, XII, p.20.
