The Kortrijkse gate, or Petercellepoort, in Ghent was built in the 14th Century. The gate was rebuilt in 1579 and again in 1678. The first picture shows the gate as it was after the renovation in 1678. Destroyed in 1783, it was replaced by one built circa 1809 by J.B. Pisson. The latter picture shows this new gate.
