Of rounded rectangular form; gold lacquer ground, decoration in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e embellished with shell; interior gold hirame on a brownish lacquer ground, decoration in gold hiramaki-e; lead rims, slight old wear

Exterior with bamboo, omodaka [arrowhead] and other water plants with rocks in a pond, birds and butterflies flying above; interior with sprays of chrysanthemum
