Of a monkey clutching a branch of biwa [loquat] fruit between his feet, he leans forward and bites hungrily on one of the berries, seated on one haunch while the other knee is raised, the legs forming the himotoshi, katabori, wood with dark staining, the eyes inlaid in translucent horn, the pupils in black horn; good patina; signed in an oval reserve Tomokazu
