A George III Irish bright-cut salver,
with engraved bracket feet and a reeded rim, the centre engraved with a coat of arms * within a shield cartouche with drapery mantling and tassles bordered by festoons of foliage within a border frieze of repeating quatrefoil motifs within roundlets and scrolls, on a rayed ground, the reverse inscribed "The B of Lodge No.190/15 present this piece of plate to their respected Brother James Posley as a grateful testimony of their esteem and approbation of his conduct while master of this lodge July 1, AD 1795 Al5795, Jas. Tandy Master Wm. Walsh Johnathon Ashe Wardens", by Gustavus Byrne, Dublin 1796 - 42.75cm wide overall, 52oz.
