The rectangular box with a shallow tray above a pair of paneled doors opening to four nanmu drawers of varying sizes, the sides set with 'ox-nose' bail handles with quatrefoil brass mounts and a knocking plate of similar shape, the top with ruyi-head corner mounts adjoining corner reinforcements, the rectangular lockplate and latch mounted flush with the cover and doors, the high jichimu base with corner reinforcements, the interior lacquered green, the golden color of the wood strikingly figured
