With shallow rounded sides raised on a narrow foot ring, the interior crisply molded with a central lotus spray encircled by narrow foliate and key-fret borders and an outer band of leafy lotus scroll, all within double bow-string borders, covered in a glaze of ivory tone falling in typical tears of slight olive tone on the exterior, with metal-bound rim

Lot Essay

A very similar dish of the same large size is in the Palace Museum, Beijing, and illustrated in Zhongguo Taoci Quanji; Dingyao, 1981, vol. 9, pl. 83; and another of similar type was included in the Special Exhibition of Ting Ware White Porcelain, National Palace Museum, Taipei, 1987, no. 82.
