Each decorated on the interior with two dragons contesting a flaming pearl amidst flames and on the exterior with clusters of grapes pendent from the rim, all in green and aubergine reserved on a yellow ground

Lot Essay

A Kangxi-marked dish of this pattern was included in the exhibition, The Wonders of the Potter's Palette, Hong Kong Musuem of Art, 11 February 1984 - 1 June 1985, no. 24. Another is in the Percival David Foundation, illustrated in the Catalogue, section, 5, no. 146 and another was included in the exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, 1973, no. 42.
