Yongzheng Six-Character Mark in Underglaze Blue within a Double Circle and of the Period
The exterior incised with a frieze of pomegranate scroll under a glaze of mauve tone continuing over the rim to cover the interior

Lot Essay

A similar Yongzheng-marked dish was included in the Inaugural Exhibition, The Museum of East Asian Art, Bath, England, vol. I - Chinese Ceramics, 1993, p. 257, no. 203, where it is noted that 'Chinese records show that dishes of this colour and design were supplied to the Qing imperial palace in 1729.'
